What your patient might ask you…

Is there another option besides EnChroma to help me see color?

A startup called Magic Leap just filed a patent for an augmented reality pair of glasses that will help people with color deficiencies.  It works by using sensors that allow the device to figure out what colors a person can’t see. Then the device amplifies the wavelengths of light and applies a filter so none of the colors overlap, making it easier to discern the different wavelengths of light.  Here is a drawing of the proposed design.
