Are these glasses really made in Italy?
That’s a loaded question.
Kering Eyewear (producer for brands Gucci, YSL, Brioni, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga and more) is being sued because their “Made in Italy” claim isn’t entirely true. Turns out most of the production is done in China and the assembly of the frame is done in Italy. “Assembled in Italy” is not the same thing as “Made in Italy” according to a strict Italian law passed in 2009. However, Kering Eyewear states it was all just a mix-up. (via)
