“Treat yo self” – Johnson and Johnson, last week.

Johnson and Johnson (J&J) enters the cataract surgery market with the $4 billion dollar purchase of Abbott Medical Optics (AMO).  J&J is the maker of Acuvue contacts (among many other non-eye things) and AMO’s portfolio includes, IOL’s, LASIK surgical systems and artificial tears.
So, if you’ve got a patient that happens to need LASIK, an IOL, contacts and artificial tears, it’s one stop shopping over at J&J.
