IBM’s deep learning gets a solid B+.

A while back IBM announced it was using deep learning to recognize irregularities in retinal photographs that are suggestive of diabetic retinopathy.
The research started back in 2015 and last week, they released the results. Their technology takes approximately twenty seconds to analyze the image and achieves an accuracy score of 86 percent in classifying diabetic disease.
